The brush can be more important than the product

For good makeup with a perfect finish, it is essential to use high quality brushes. The choice of brush largely depends on where the makeup is going to be applied and the texture of the product. You Cosmetics puts at your disposal the best brushes: we’ll explain everything about these implements.

At You Cosmetics, we believe in a job well done, which is why all of our brushes are made by hand to make sure that every last detail is taken care of: we shape them by hand and do not use scissors to ensure that the natural tip of the hair is preserved and maximum softness is achieved at the moment of use. Our R&D department ensures that the service we offer is always in line with the latest trends, textures and new products. Its continuous research process allows us to offer you what you need at any time and never neglect any of your needs.

TELL ME WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO APPLY MAKEUP TO AND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT BRUSH YOU NEED / A BRUSH FOR EACH AREA

In the same way that we wouldn’t apply gloss to the eyelids, or mascara to the lips, we wouldn’t use a blusher brush to apply eye shadow either! Depending on the area that we want to make up, we have different brushes.

There are three main types:

Face: at You Cosmetics, we have a wide range of brushes with different shapes and types of hair. This means that you can choose the most appropriate depending on whether the texture is liquid, cream or loose or compact powder. Only this way will you achieve a perfect finish.

Eyes: just as there is an extremely broad and complete range of eye makeup products, there is also a wide variety of implements to apply them. At You, we understand this, and that’s why we have different shapes, sizes, types of hair, flexibility, etc. This means, depending on what you want to achieve (a blend, matt tone, gloss, etc.), you can choose the brush that will give you the ideal finish.

Lips: do you want to keep your lipstick on perfectly? And, while we’re at it, do you want to be able to outline them with total precision? For these two uses, we have a range of specific brushes.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT A BRUSH: THE TYPE OF HAIR

If the brush is the most important thing about applying makeup (it can even be more important than the product itself), the hair is the most important thing about the brush. It is the part that determines how you use it (depending on the texture of the makeup and application area).

On the one hand, at You, we offer you natural-hair brushes of exquisite quality that are highly prized in the professional world of makeup. These include brushes made from kolinsky sable hair (extremely soft, flexible, excellent product dispersion and great water-retention capacity, ideal for application and blending regardless of the texture); squirrel hair (ideal for the application of powders and blusher as it has excellent powder holding and dry eye shadow blending properties); goat hair (the most common and suitable for applying loose or compact powders); racoon hair (for large brushes and perfect for powder textures); and pony hair (extremely soft and pleasant to the touch, ideal for powders, blusher and eye shadow).

On the other hand, we offer you synthetic-hair brushes. Their use is becoming increasingly widespread due to recent advances in the development of synthetic fibres that can mimic natural hair in terms of texture, size, colour and tip, and thickness at the base and fineness at the tip. At You, we offer you two models of synthetic-hair brush: Toray fibre (perfect for vegans or allergic people, it is the best synthetic fibre for holding powder) and Taklon fibre (ideal for applying eye liner, lip, corrector and cream or liquid foundation products, it stands out for its capacity to retain water and perfectly disperse any texture).
